  Dear Nature Photographer,

In 2008, Bonnie and I are entering a new phase in our Dramatic Light Nature Photography Workshops. Since both of us have now reached retirement age, we’re in the process of winding down the business. We are no longer advertising in Outdoor and Nature Photographer Magazines to attract new clients. More than 70% of our total business is already composed of folks like you who have been with us many times over the years.
We are deeply grateful for the support you have given Bonnie and I over the years and, as long as our health is good, we’ll try to provide a limited number of Workshops which combine entirely new destinations, old destinations at different times of the year, and some old favorites like Monument Valley.

We have based the 2008 schedule on the votes of the folks who responded to our request for suggestions on Workshop destinations. One basic rule was that we are not going to run Workshops in National Parks or Monuments where we have to get Federal Permits such as Yellowstone, the Tetons, Bryce, Zion, Arches and Canyonlands etc. To get these permits, we have to pay a lot of money, get excessive insurance, take CPR training each year, and worst of all put up with a lot of self important Federal bureaucrats.
We plan to keep all of you informed about our Workshop Schedule by sending out bulletins by surface mail and e-mail. If you wish to receive materials from us by e-mail, please make sure that you enter our names –josephklange@dramaticlightphoto.com, josephklange@aol.com, and bonnelange@aol.com, as sources from which you desire to receive e-mail. That way your Spam Filter won’t delete our bulletins.
I want to thank my brother, Steve, for developing our Web Site and keeping it up to date. He may also answer your e-mails when Bonnie and I are on Tour. This site will be especially important for current information about our Workshops since we have discontinued magazine advertising. We also have fine quality photographic prints, in a variety of sizes and at reasonable cost, for sale on the web site. Check them out!!
Dramatic Light Nature Photography, Inc.is committed to continuing the high level of excellence that you have come to expect from us. Our policy is to have no more than five participants per instructor with a maximum of ten clients per Workshop. Joe will continue to be the lead instructor on all of our Workshops.
We won’t bore all of you again with our biographies. After all the years, either you think we know our stuff or you wouldn’t be returning. Possible new destinations for 2009 will probably include New Zealand and Crater Lake as well as old favorites like the Oregon Coast and Monument Valley. If you have any other suggestions, please let us know.
